Dr Who?

So imagine this:

You are getting ready to get ready for your upcoming trip.  And you want to be sure you have all your prescriptions… right? So you call the pharmacy and they will need to call the doctor to verify a prescription.

No Problem –  right?

2 hours later you get a phone call.  “Hello – this is X Pharmacy – Please call us back right away!”

“The phone number we have on file for your Dr “X” says it is DISCONNECTED!”

A shiver comes over my body in disbelief – no problem – here is his cell phone number.
Thinking everything is okay – I go back to work.  Two minutes later I get another call right back from the pharmacy – “That number is also no longer in service”

I have been going to that doctor for over 37 years!

I got no notification of any changes in his practice.

(No wonder they call a medical office a practice!)

OMG – well I called a mutual friend who at first declined to share any info with me other than to say that he was not the man we thought he was.  This friend is also a doctor and was in business with him.  He had known him or thought he had known him since 1971!

I am in shock – total shock – guess I will be looking for a new doc.
