Whether on the golf course or on the golf course of life, focus is the key to success!
I guarantee you will run into many of these in life. The golf courses are designed to be difficult to get to the green and isn’t it the same in life? The difference may be that the bunkers, beaches (as I like to refer to the sandy bunkers) and water are mostly man made.
Have you ever noticed that if you fail to focus, you can get easily distracted?
If you play golf, have you ever been distracted by a comment, a cough, sneeze, wind or an errant thought? When you were distracted what happened?
Where did your ball go?
My guess is that your drive, your chip or putt went awry!
Have you ever noticed that when you choose a point to drive, chip or putt to and focus, really focus -you make incredible shots?
When you are focused you are like a race horse with blinders on, (AKA blinkers and winkers). They keep the horse’s eye focused on what is ahead, rather than what is at the side or behind. It is the ‘crowding out’ principle! The horse can only see straight ahead!
I heard a great analogy the other day and you might like it as well.
