WOW!! It is amazing to me how clouded some people are when it comes to athletes. Are they really above the law? What happens and how do we get the feeling that everything they do is okay?
One even got away with murder. Can you say ‘OJ’? While it was never proven… that isn’t the point. The point is that we give, certain people who just happen to be in the public eye way too much attention and credit. (in my opinion…and it is only my opinion…)
Some of the athletes can barely speak English and yet they are given much money and instant status!
Have you listened to any of their ‘after game’ interviews? Really? Why would you even waste your precious time listening to a person who cannot put 3 words together into a sentence we can understand. The reporter then has to invest precious time attempting to translate those words into something that makes sense.
Perhaps they know how to throw a ball (of any shape) or catch, receive or pass a ball (of any shape) and perhaps they can hit a ball with another object (a stick, a bat, a racquet or another piece of equipment… can you please explain to me how that makes a person better than another?
Many of us are good at some of those things, but not great… you may be able to paint or write or explain something to another person in such a way they can do exactly what you said. And for that – people get paid big bucks too.
What I am referencing is the discussion that took place from a simple comment – the excuses made for Tiger were ridiculous… UGH – enough said
