Tiger Woods knew and he knew that he knew. That being said, even if he didn’t know… ignorance is no excuse.
Here is a quote from my book, Victim or Victor: You always have a choice:

Lack of knowledge of the law of gravity might cause one to think he could walk off of a 23nd story balcony and keep going. What do you think would happen if you walked off any balcony?
Would it make any difference if that balcony was in Timbuktu or in New York City or in Denver, Colorado?
Would it matter how old you were?
Would it matter what the color of your skin or the language you speak or how much money you have?
Would it make any difference if you were short or tall? Absolutely not!
There are many other natural laws of the universe that exist. They exist whether we know about them or not.
You might hear someone say, “Oh, I didn’t know that!”
Does that excuse the consequence?
Absolutely not!
Ignorance is not bliss!

So ignorance is no excuse. And what we know about Tiger is that he has been playing the game for years and probably would have a lot to say about another player caught in the same set of circumstances. So then, what is the ‘right’ thing to do?
In INTEGRITY, what would you do?
This is the game of golf, a gentleman’s game. You really are ‘on your honor’ those are the rules.
Oh and why not call in the tournament referee to verify your drop? Most often when watching golf if there is a questionable lie the player calls in an official…
What would you do?
